Westminster Presbyterian Church is committed to worshipping and serving the Triune God, who set his fatherly love on us in eternity past, saved us from our sins through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and abides with us through the Holy Spirit.
We are a church that delights in gathering Sunday morning and evening, and at various times throughout the week, to worship God and make disciples by proclaiming the unsearchable riches of God’s grace in Jesus Christ. We endeavor to do this by reading, preaching, praying, and singing God’s Word, as well as by observing his “visible” Word through the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We are unashamedly committed to the centrality of God’s Word in all that we do. We also wholeheartedly embrace the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms, which we believe to be an accurate summary of the everlasting truth contained in God’s Word.
While God-centered worship and doctrinal purity is crucially important to us, we also endeavor, by God’s grace, to love one another, to bear one another’s burdens, and to pray for one another. We believe that the gospel is good news for all people, and therefore we also strive to love and serve our neighbors with grace and compassion, even as God has loved us.
We are Presbyterians, which means, in part, that elders elected by the congregation govern our church. As Presbyterians, we are also vitally connected to other congregations within the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Our particular church belongs to Providence Presbytery, and we have numerous beloved sister churches in the greater Huntsville area.
